It occupies a prominent 0.19 hectares (0.47 acres) site on the corner of Margaret and Clifford streets, located within a mixed residential and commercial area on the western side of the Toowoomba central business district.
Gabbinbar is a heritage-listed villa at 344–376 Ramsay Street, Toowoomba, Middle Ridge, Toowoomba Region, Queensland, Australia.It was designed by architect Willoughby Powell for the Rev. Dr. William Lambie Nelson and built in 1876 by Richard Godsall.

Dr Row was an important Toowoomba medical man who served in both World Wars. Lieutenant-Colonel Row was in charge of the Greenslopes Hospital 1946–1947. From 1948 to 1979 he conducted his private practice from Millbrook while being a surgeon at most of the local hospitals and the Toowoomba Army Area Officer. [1]
Glen Alpine is a two-storey timber residence which is believed to have been built c. 1918 for Albert Rowbotham, of the Toowoomba firm Rowbotham and Co., bootmakers. The house was possibly designed by prominent Toowoomba architect, Harry J. Marks. [1] The land was granted to Thomas Perkins in 1875, then acquired by William Shaw in 1876.
