On February 6, 2014, UnREAL was green-lit, with a 10-episode series order, [15] and premiered in June 2015. [9] Shapiro is credited as co-creator, writer, and supervising producer on the show. On July 6, 2015, the series was renewed for a second season of 10 episodes, to premiere in 2016. [16]
