    But no idea about the descrepancy. I would be surprised if Whitehaven was only founded in 1948 tbh, I believe the club is a lot older than that. Mattlore 20:05, 12 October 2010 (UTC) 1948 is correct. Rugby league was played in the area before this time but the semi-pro club dates from 1948. No idea why "1866" is listed.
