In South Korea, there are about 3,200 general hospitals nationwide. This list illustrates the 45 senior general hospitals (Korean: 상급종합병원), which are general hospitals capable of providing high-level medical services, accredited by the ministry of health and welfare of the Republic of Korea.
In March 2009, the hospital was renamed Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, and a new building with a total floor area of 190,000 square meters was constructed. On October 1. 1983, it was established as Korea University Medical Center. Guro Hospital opened on September 15, 1983.

Kyungpook National University Hospital (Korean: 경북대학교병원) is located in Daegu, South Korea. It was derived from the DongIn Clinic which opened in 1908. [1] It is the central hospital of Gyeongsangbuk-do. In 1952 Kyungpook National University was established, followed by the creation of the Kyungpook National University Hospital.
