The trailer for an English dub of Pinocchio: A True Story with Shore as Pinocchio was released by Lionsgate Films in late January 2022. In 2005, a Spanish dub of the film was published by East West DVD Entertainment under the title Las nuevas aventuras de Pinocchio. It is unknown whether this dub is a direct translation of the Russian film; since East West was an American entity, it is likely that their dub is instead a translation of one of the English versions. Directed by Leonid Nechayev, the film was an adaptation of The Golden Key, or the Adventures of Buratino by Alexey Tolstoy in turn an adaptation of the 1883 Italian novel The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi. Inna Vetkina wrote the screenplay for The Adventures of Buratino, as well as several other films directed by Nechayev.
