Underworld Unleashed was a multi-title American comic book crossover event released by DC Comics in 1995. The main theme of Underworld Unleashed involved the new ruler of Hell , a demon-lord named Neron , offering first many of the DC Universe supervillains and then a number of the DC Universe superheroes various deals in exchange for their souls.
Neron is one of the major demon-lords of Hell, a "Wishweaver", [4] the "King of Hate" [5] and the "Lord of Lies". [6] It is not known how old he is, but he has claimed "I brought the very first couple together" [7] and he has told Wonder Woman "I am among the first that walked abroad in this universe, and my influence has been known since humanity's first fall from grace". In the Underworld Unleashed crossover, he makes a deal with Neron, trading his soul to gain increased power. Hellgrammite is presumed dead during the Our Worlds at War event, but it is later revealed that a similar villain, Larvanaut, died instead. Hellgrammite appears alive in the "One Year Later" event as an assassin for Intergang.
