Bleach (stylized in all caps) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tite Kubo.It follows the adventures of a teenager Ichigo Kurosaki, who obtains the powers of a Soul Reaper—a death personification similar to a Grim Reaper—from another Soul Reaper, Rukia Kuchiki.
Bleach was published in individual chapters by Shueisha in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine and was later collected in tankōbon (book) format. In addition to the main series chapters, some chapters are published with a negative chapter number; they are side stories and consist of events that precede the start of the series. [ 2 ]

Viz Media obtained the foreign television, home video and merchandising rights to the Bleach anime from TV Tokyo Corporation and Shueisha on March 15, 2006.
