The Lycoming (now Honeywell) LTS101 is a turboshaft engine family ranging from 650 to 850 shaft horsepower, used in a number of popular helicopters, [1] and, as the LTP101 turboprop, light aircraft. Both models carry the US military designation T702 .
The A10 was increased to 650 cc (40 cu in) by using a 70mm bore and 84mm stroke. [1] It had a revised alloy rocker box and cast-iron cylinder head, plus an integral manifold for the single Amal carburettor. A single camshaft behind the cylinders operated the valves via pushrods passing through a tunnel in the cast iron block.

Initially production was at Norton's Bracebridge St, Birmingham factory, but following the factory's closure in 1963, production was transferred to parent company AMC 's works in Plumstead , London.
