Kingsdale Shopping Center, also known as Kingsdale, Kingsdale Center, and Kingsdale Mall, is a large, mixed-use shopping center in Upper Arlington, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus. It features a Giant Eagle Market District supermarket. Built in 1959, the shopping center covers 38 acres between Tremont Road and Northwest Boulevard.
The market currently occupies an adjacent building, with the project site utilized as a 130-space surface parking lot. [1] The 32-story building will be a $292 million, 700,000-square-foot (65,000 m 2) mixed-use development. It will include 174 residential units, event space, and 65,000 square feet (6,000 m 2) of office space.
Other changes included enhancements to the interior, exterior, and parking lot. Anchor store Trader Joe's, the only location in the Dayton area, received a 25-percent expansion as part of the renovation. A new pedestrian breezeway was also constructed to connect smaller shops behind the shopping center. [6]
