Justify (born in March 28, 2015) is a US Hall of Fame Thoroughbred racehorse who is known for being the thirteenth winner of the American Triple Crown. He also was the first horse since Apollo in 1882 to win the Kentucky Derby without racing as a two-year-old. Justify first attracted attention with a win in his debut race on February 18, 2018.
The race was transferred to Leopardstown in 2002. It was promoted to Group 2 status in 2003, and to Group 1 in 2004. It is now sponsored by Coolmore Stud, and its full title includes the name of Justify, a Coolmore stallion. In 2014 it was moved back a week in September to become part of a new Irish Champions Weekend fixture.

City of Troy is a bay colt with a white star bred in Kentucky by Orpendale, Chelston & Wynatt, breeding companies associated with the Coolmore Stud organisation. The colt was sent into training with Aidan O'Brien at Ballydoyle. Like many Coolmore horses, he raced for the partnership of Derrick Smith, Michael Tabor and Susan Magnier.
Scat Daddy entered stud in 2008 at Ashford Stud (Coolmore America) in Lexington, Kentucky. He also shuttled to Coolmore Australia in 2008 and to Haras Paso Nevado in Chile in 2009–2011 for the Southern Hemisphere breeding season. He was the leading Chile juvenile sire three times (2009–2011). [3]
In November 2010, Lookin At Lucky was purchased by Coolmore Stud and retired. [3] He then entered stud at Coolmore's Ashford Stud near Versailles, Kentucky. [4] His initial stud fee was set at $35,000. Lookin At Lucky's first foal was born in January 2012 at Royal Pegasus Farm in Lexington, Kentucky.
