Fred Jones is a fictional character in the American animated series Scooby-Doo, leader of a quartet of teenage mystery solvers and their Great Dane companion, Scooby-Doo. Fred has been primarily voiced by Frank Welker since the character's inception in 1969.

The charactor "Fred Jones" did not actually appear in the movie "Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back". The movie briefly alluded to the cast of Scooby Doo during a scene where actors were similarily dressed to the charactors and were driving a van very similiar to the Mystery Machine.
