Oregon State Parks (Hover mouse over pog to pop up clickable link.) This is a list of state parks and other facilities managed by the State Parks and Recreation Department of Oregon . The variety of locales and amenities of the parks reflect the diverse geography of Oregon, including beaches, forests, lakes, rock pinnacles , and deserts.
It is the only coastal Oregon State park with a campground located in a city. The campground area is located at the southwest shore of Devils Lake in Lincoln City, and the day use area is on the south shore. The park provides kayaks for those participating in summer guided kayak wildlife tours. [2]
The trail was envisioned in 1959 by Samuel N. Dicken, a University of Oregon geography professor, approved in 1971 by the Oregon Recreation Trails Advisory Council and developed and managed by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department as part of the state park system of Oregon. [1] The official coastal guide gives a length of 382 miles (615 km).

Built in 1934, the building is on the National Register of Historic Places (as the Port Orford Coast Guard Station) and was used by the U.S. Coast Guard until 1970. [3] The museum includes the station's refurbished, unsinkable 36-foot (11 m) motor life boat, and information about the Japanese bombing of the south Oregon coast during World War II.
