    It is true that the location scouting initially considered Eilean Donan but all the castle shots are exclusively Duart and there are absolutely no shots of Eilean Donan. The two castle do look alike, especialy if you see Duart from the seaward side, but a close look at the movie will reveal that Eilean Donan does not feature.
