Calgary Southwest was a federal electoral district in Alberta, Canada, that was represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1988 to 2015. The district was in the southwest part of the City of Calgary , south of Glenmore Trail and west of the Canadian Pacific Kansas City Railway line.
The inner city includes Downtown Calgary and the adjoining communities, and overlays roughly the city limits before 1961. It is delimited by Sarcee Trail to the west; Glenmore Reservoir and Glenmore Trail to the south; Bow River and Deerfoot Trail to the east; and Bow River and 32 Avenue to the north. [11]
The Calgary South West United Soccer Club was founded as a youth soccer club in 2003. [1] In July 2019, they were awarded a National Youth License by the Canadian Soccer Association . [ 2 ] In December 2023, it was announced that they would join League1 Alberta in both the men's and women's divisions. [ 3 ]
