Just went and picked up one of the new Marlin 1895 SBL rifles today. Ruger really knocked this one out of the park! I've owned and handled many Marlins in my time, and this one is nicer and more well finished than any of the older ones. Very slick action and feeds very smoothly. Haven't shot it yet, but will very soon.

Damn, great grab for whoever ended up getting this gun! A 1895 SBL for $650 is a steal. If I had seen this sooner I'd have jumped on it the moment I saw it. Jump on the 458 I have for sale. Will make a killer platform for a rebuild or shoot as is (which is basically unfired).
The 1895 SBL was a limited run as pictured above, Stainless and laminate stock. Remington owned Marlin at the time these were made. 45/70 Cal. Factory XS Ghost Ring Sights. Price is up because no production at the moment unless the factory is back running. I had one and sold it for more than this literally in 2 min when I listed.
I'm probably going to kick myself for this, but up for sale is the coveted Marlin 1895SBL, 19 rounds or less down the barrel, I bought it then realized how expensive 45-70 is then it stayed in the safe. Location: Fort Walton Beach Price: $1500 obo Not sure about trades, slightly open for discussion.
