The Principles and Standards for School Mathematics was developed by the NCTM. The NCTM's stated intent was to improve mathematics education. Science education. Science education is the teaching and learning of science to school children, college students, or adults within the general public. PLTW Launch is the elementary school level, designed for preschool through fifth grade.
