[6] In 1997, he starred as Agent J in the science fiction film Men in Black, a role he reprised in its sequels Men in Black II (2002) and Men in Black 3 (2012). Smith portrayed heavyweight boxer Muhammad Ali in the 2001 biopic Ali.
