The Reyna Elena, representing Saint Helena, is the last and grandest; the most beautiful woman in the pageant, she bears a cross or crucifix symbolising the True Cross, as she is escorted by a young boy representing Emperor Constantine. Participants walk under arches, often carried and decorated with flowers or symbols of bounty.
She was also often chosen for the role of Reyna Elena during the "Santacruzan", a processional pageant commemorating Empress Helen's finding of the Cross of Christ, celebrated in the Philippines in May. [1] [4] Later in life, she married Fulgencio Ramos, [1] [5] a cabeza de barrio (village chief), and bore six children.
The logo is currently posted on the National Commission for Culture and the Arts' PH Registry of Cultural Property page. The Commission maintains the said Registry as described in Republic Act No. 10066.
Acted as Reyna Elena in the House's celebration of the Santacruzan. Took part in the PBB Fiesta, even finishing the game of palo sebo for her fellow housemates. Bruce Cooked adobo for his fellow housemates. The Slovenian housemates thought it was so delicious, even Sonja, the resident vegetarian, ate it, too. Taught the housemates tinikling.
