Djasr Kasentina, Algeria Smail Hamdani ( Arabic : اسماعيل حمداني ; 11 March 1930 – 6/7 February 2017) was an Algerian politician. He was Prime Minister of Algeria from 15 December 1998 to 23 December 1999.
The First minister of Algeria is the head of government of Algeria. Nadir Larbaoui has been the prime minister since 11 November 2023. The prime minister is appointed by the president of Algeria , along with other ministers and members of the government that the new prime minister recommends.
President Tebboune appointed Larbaoui as prime minister on 11 November 2023, replacing Aymen Benabderrahmane, who had been fired. Several observers characterized this as a desire by President Tebboune to further centralize decision-making almost a year ahead of the presidential election scheduled for December 2024 .

Abdelmalek Sellal (Arabic: عبد المالك سلال, romanized: ʿAbd al-Mālik Silāl; born 1 August 1948) is an Algerian politician who was Prime Minister of Algeria from 3 September 2012 to 13 March 2014 when he took a leave of office to support President Abdelaziz Bouteflika's re-election campaign and again from April 2014 to May 2017.
