Eidfjord is a municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The municipality is located in the traditional district of Hardanger . The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Eidfjord , where the majority of the municipal population lives.

The Eid Fjord lies in the municipalities of Ullensvang, Ulvik, and Eidfjord in Vestland county. The inner part of the ford is called the Simadal Fjord [ 5 ] ( Norwegian : Simadalsfjorden ). The villages of Ringøy and Bjotveit lie on the south side of the fjord, and Djønno lies on the north side.

Eidfjordvatnet (English: Lake Eidfjord) [1] [2] [3] is a moraine-dammed lake in the municipality of Eidfjord in Vestland county, Norway. The 3.55-square-kilometre (1.37 sq mi) lake is located immediately southeast of the village of Eidfjord. Øvre Eidfjord village lies on the southern shore of the lake.

It is located in the village of Eidfjord. It is the church for the Eidfjord parish which is part of the Hardanger og Voss prosti ( deanery ) in the Diocese of Bjørgvin . The modern-looking red brick church was built in a rectangular design in 1981 using plans drawn up by the architect Sigurd Sekse .
