Florida's 2nd congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of Florida. The district consists of the eastern part of the Florida Panhandle along with much of the Big Bend region along the Emerald Coast. It straddles both the Eastern and Central time zones. It includes Tallahassee, the state capital, and Panama City.
It is also the most populated city and a principal city of the Panama City–Panama City Beach, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area with around 200,534 in the metropolitan area. As of the 2020 census , the city population was 32,939, down from the figure of 36,484 at the 2010 census .

[2] The airport is owned by the Panama City-Bay County Airport & Industrial District, [2] and is north of Panama City Beach, near West Bay.
Panama City–Bay County International Airport (PFN) began as a private field owned by J.B. Atkinson, Jr., a citizen of Panama City. The facility had 292 acres (1.2 km 2) of land with grass landing strips. In 1932 Atkinson and his wife donated the property to the Panama City Chamber of Commerce so a city airport could be established.

Over time, it would replace and absolve the 1903 treaty. 1 October 1979, the Panama Canal Zone was abolished. All unused area (mainly forest) was transferred to Panama.
