Clinton State Park is a public recreation area located on the north shore of Clinton Lake at the western edge of Lawrence, Kansas, United States. [3]The 1,500-acre (6.1 km 2) state park lies on the north shore of Clinton Lake, known for its clear water and good channel catfish, walleye, and crappie fishing.
Clinton Lake is the source of water for over 100,000 people in northeastern Kansas, making it the most relied on reservoir in the state. The lake also serves as a popular recreational area with four parks managed by the Army Corps of Engineers, and one park managed by the city of Lawrence. [ 6 ]
Lawrence's Downtown Historic District comprises the commercial core of Lawrence, Kansas. The district comprises areas along Massachusetts Street between 6th Street and South Park Street. Nearly all of the contributing structures are masonry commercial buildings, typically with display windows at street level and smaller windows at upper levels.
The Wakarusa River Valley Heritage Museum near Clinton. The Lawrence & Emporia Railroad was constructed through Bloomington and Clinton in 1873 but its route was soon rendered redundant by larger competing railroads and it was abandoned by 1894. In 1876, most of Bloomington had reverted into farmland and was considered vacated.

The Granada Theater was originally built in 1928 as a vaudeville theater in Lawrence, Kansas by the Boller Brothers. It was renovated in 1934 as a movie theater. The first film shown there was Robert Montgomery's 1934 comedy Hide-Out. [1]
