Susan Alexandra "Sigourney" Weaver (/ s ɪ ˈ ɡ ɔːr n i / si-GOR-nee; born October 8, 1949) is an American actress. Prolific in film since the late 1970s, she is known for her pioneering portrayals of action heroines.
