Mati is a popular tourist destination with several hotels, restaurants, taverns, cafés, bars, night clubs, open air cinemas, sandy beaches and yacht marinas. Agia Paraskevi is situated near the northern edge of the forested Hymettus mountain range, 9 km (6 mi) northeast of Athens city center. The municipality has an area of 7.935 km 2 . [ 3 ] The built-up area of Agia Paraskevi is continuous with those of the neighboring Cholargos , Chalandri and Gerakas .
The next two sites listed were the Archeological site of Delphi and the Acropolis of Athens, in the following year. Five sites were added in 1988, two in 1989 and 1990 each, one in 1992, one in 1996, two in 1999, and one in 2007. The most recent site added was the Zagori Cultural Landscape, in 2023. There are no transnational sites in Greece.
