I have a Model 100 in .308 and it has had the recalled parts replaced. It feeds and shoots premium ammo well, but has issues with dirty surplus 7.62 x 51 stuff. If you are going to hunt at 200 yards or less and buy good premium ammo, you will be happy with it, just make sure you buy 168 grain or heavier ammo.
1) Replacement value. What it would cost today to replace that gun with a NIB example. 2) Sale value to an individual. This is a market value. What is that gun selling for on todays open market. 3) Immediate sale to a gun store or pawn shop. This price is usually 25 to 35% of the market value.
5,655 Posts. #28 · Mar 27, 2017. Agree with the chap who commented on the Winchester 100's poor accuracy. Spare parts also IMPOSSIBLE to come by. Most common, reasonably reliable and affordable .308 is a Remington 760 or 742, but I would prefer a .30-'06 to .308 unless you are restricted to milsurp ammo.
In the end its still a Winchester model 70. If you decide the repairs are too much you could list it on gunbroker and probably sell it for a profit. Pre-Safety Rossi Model 92 in .357. LGS has a used blued 92 asking $449. Don't know age but is does not have the safety on top. The gun looks to be in very good shape. Bluing is good all over no obvious wear. Wood sure looks better than the current hardwood stock. No scratches or obvious wear.

Just a quick google, they stopped production in the mid 1970's. they were being sold in the early 60's. mint condition goes for around $300.00, and poor condition is what ever they can get out of you, .... a good guess on a fair condition would be $125/$150, fireing condition.

Winchester Model 190. One of the guys from the lease dropped off a rifle at the house the other day, a Win Model 190 22 auto. He told me that it had set in a closet for the last 15 or so years and hadn't been fired for longer than that, (someone gave it to him), and that the bolt wouldn't open. He asked me to look at it.
i was taking pics of the lifter on the rifle and i saw that the lifter was nearly running into the bolt. on reviewing the 6D parts, i bought the wrong lifter. the correct one is out of stock. thanks for your help though. the one i bought, has the bump at the end and is silver. the one that goes to the gun is black and has a hole in the arm of the lifter.
