fusion 360 to Cura wrong dimensions. I made an object on fusion 360 the dimensions are 120mm long 9mm on one end and 18mm on the other end a cylinder object. when I export to Cura slicer my dimensions are wrong I keep getting 35mm x 35mm x 120mm . only one dimension is correct I added the barbarian add-on still no luck. Export Multi-body/component to Slicer (Cura) *aligned*. Hello all, Often I work on models have sections of the same body that needs to be stronger (e.g. around screw hole) and my slicer software (Cura) allow setting different infill levels of different objects in the same print. The problem is that if I select all bodies in Fusion and select ...

If you wish to add more parts, leave Cura open (using single instance) and repeat steps 2 and 3. Note: In either application, parts will be exported to the same location in both slicers, so be sure to move your parts around to locate and reveal all expected parts present in the slicer app or on the virtual build platform!
Thats probably because you added the thread as a cosmetic feature. The Thread command has a checkbox option called "Modeled". Turning it on will add a real thread to the model. Having this option off (default behavior) will create a cosmetic thread (no changes to geometry and hence is not part of the stl output). Hope this helps. Regards. Gautham.
In autocad the cylinder looks completely smooth. The pic I uploaded shows what happened right after I imported the autocad stl into the program for 3d 'slicing.'. So that's the printer preview from the 3d printer slicer. The print I did yesterday I only ran at 15 mm/second (I was trying a new filament).
I want to do some 3D printing using Maya, so I have made some models, and the slicer I use is Ultimaker Cura, which takes a good amount of file types, but when I try to export my models, it can't export as any of the file types that Cura reads. what should I do?
objects created are tiny when brought into CURA. I just started having this problem where the objects that I create in Fusion are really small in CURA. For instance if I create a 1" diam sphere in Fusion and save it as an .stl, when I bring that file into CURA, it looks like it's 1/10 the size it should be. I've uninstalled everything and it ...
Normally, threads are only displayed as texture in Inventor parts or assemblies. These are displayed as standard symbols in drawings, but not in modeling environment. You can see that with exports as STEP, IGES or STL, and re-import them back to Inventor. No threads will come through.
Cylinder exported into CURA is not round. Anyone, I created a simple cylinder in Autodesk Inventor 2018 and exported as CAD format, stl file, into CURA for slicing. The cylinder shows up faceted, flat sides, not round. It will even print that way.
