Deutsche Bank AG [a] (German pronunciation: [ˈdɔʏtʃə ˈbaŋk ʔaːˈɡeː] ⓘ, lit. ' German Bank ') is a German multinational investment bank and financial services company headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany, and dual-listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange.
Bankenviertel (German pronunciation: [ˈbaŋkŋ̍ˌfɪʁtl̩]; banking quarter) is the name of the central business district in Frankfurt, Germany where many banks, insurance companies, and other financial institutions are located.

The IBC was built by Deutsche Bank on a design by architect Kohler and was completed in 2003. It is situated at Theodor-Heuss-Allee close to the Frankfurt Trade Fair grounds. Originally, Deutsche Bank planned as Investment Banking Center to concentrate such financial activity in the complex. This has never been implemented.
