Mount Rainier National Park is a national park of the United States located in southeast Pierce County and northeast Lewis County in Washington state. Longmire is the second most popular destination for visitors to Mount Rainier National Park after Paradise. Of the more than 1.3 million people who visited the park in 2000, 38% visited Longmire. The Wonderland Trail is an approximately 93-mile (150 km) [1] [2] hiking trail that circumnavigates Mount Rainier in Mount Rainier National Park, Washington, United States. The trail goes over many ridges of Mount Rainier for a cumulative 22,000 feet (6,700 m) of elevation gain. [1] The trail was built in 1915. [3]

White River Road and Sunrise Road, together formerly known as the Yakima Park Highway, is a road that enters Mount Rainier National Park in the northeast and connects Mather Memorial Parkway to White River Campground and Sunrise, located in Yakima Park. It was surveyed in 1926 and built between 1927 [1] or 1929 and 1931. [2]

The White River Patrol Cabin was built in 1927 by the National Park Service at the White River Campground in Mount Rainier National Park, as the White River Campground Ranger Station. The rustic cabin functioned as a patrol cabin because of its location on the Wonderland Trail. Construction is post and beam frame with log roof framing.
