Hans Edward Kruse OS (6 January 1930 – 2 October 2021) [1] was a Samoan civil servant, actor, and rugby player.. Kruse was from Asau on Savai'i. [2] He was educated at Marist Brothers Primary School in Mulivai, Sacred Heart College, Auckland, and Thailand University.
The film was produced and directed by Lisa Taouma, a New Zealand film maker of Samoan ancestry. [1] [2] It features Samoan tatau artist Tyla Vaeau Ta’ufo’ou of an indigenous tattoo studio on K’ Road called Karanga Ink. In the film she returns to Samoa to learn more and reconnect. [3]

Pua Magasiva (10 August 1980 [3] – 11 May 2019) was a New Zealand actor of Samoan descent, best known for his roles as Shane Clarke, the Red Ranger from Power Rangers Ninja Storm, and Vinnie Kruse in the soap opera Shortland Street, both co-starring with Sally Martin. He was also one of the co-hosts of radio station Flava.

Fofó Iosefa Fiti Sunia founded American Samoa's first newspaper in the 1960s and was later elected as a non-voting delegate to the U.S. House of Representatives, serving from 1981 to 1988.
