The Bethpage Air Show is an annual American air show held each May on Memorial Day weekend. It is staged in the airspace above and off the coast of the Jones Beach State Park in Wantagh, New York, located on Long Island. [1] The air show is typically headlined by either the United States Navy Blue Angels or United States Air Force Thunderbirds.
Parking passes for the Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach will go on sale Monday, April 19 at 9 a.m. Governor Cuomo announced.
In 2009, Jones Beach introduced The Bay Stage, which has a general admission capacity of 5,000. The performances are staged behind the concessions on the theater property. The theater property is located a short distance from the VIP area but The Bay Stage events cannot be viewed or heard from the VIP area.

June 2 – Capt. Jeff "Kooch" Kuss of the Blue Angels died just after takeoff while performing the Split-S maneuver in his F/A-18 Hornet during a practice run for The Great Tennessee Air Show in Smyrna, Tennessee. Capt. Kuss ejected, but his parachute was immediately engulfed in flames, causing him to fall to his death.
