Hudson Austin (26 April 1938 – 24 September 2022) [1] was a general in the People's Revolutionary Army of Grenada. After the killing of Maurice Bishop , he formed a military government with himself as chairman to rule Grenada .
Three of them, including Hudson Austin, were released in 2008. Bernard Coard and thirteen other convicts remained detained until 2009, when, after the British Privy Council ordered a review of the sentences, the Supreme Court of the Grenada authorized their release.
On 25 October 1983, the vanguard of 7,600 troops from the United States, and 350 from the Caribbean Peace Force, invaded Grenada, encountering resistance from the People's Revolutionary Army.
