Street tire as in the tire that comes on your car when you buy it. Mine are about 8 inches wide I believe. I know I could put on drag radials or hell a small slick would improve the times, but again I'm just talking about street tires on a rwd vehicle. Also consider that I have a pickup drag radials aren't exactly a good idea at the moment.
I would start with intake/exhaust, the basics. But I dont feel like wasting $300 dollars on those parts if its not worth it at all. I dont go to the track and do legit 1/4 mile racing at all, I was just looking for a little more quickness for street racing.

Arguably, more power than that in a 2400lb body running on street tires is asking for trouble. I will get into the economics of it. You can get a complete Mustang 5.0 parts car from a junkyard for $1500, pull the engine, tranny, and ECU, and have it in the car with a $300 kit.

The Lingenfelter 'Vette I read about had twin-turbos and was capable of running 9's with slicks and tens on street-tires. It's top-speed was about 225MPH. Don't remember the power figures, but I'm pretty sure it's sick. Let's just say that Eclipse never even had a shadow of a chance...
