I have a similar problem, except I intentionally uninstalled my Bang & Olufsen audio control app because it wasn't working. I wanted to reinstall it afterwards, but I cannot seem to find a way that works. I just tried your method right now, but I do not think it applies for my issue.
I want to uninstall the Bang and Olufsen app and install a better EQ app such as VIPER or even the Realtek EQ itself would be better. The stock Bang and Olufsen app seems to make my audio sound extremely tin like and I believe my own equalizing skills are much better suited for my specific laptop. Speakers on a Beats model will likely be tuned to fit this audio signature. I can't really characterise Bang & Olufsen audio on a HP notebook. You are never going to get the performance of some of B&O's legendary audio products within the physical constraints of a notebook, but it should perform fairly well.
