Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center is a hospital located in Lafayette, Louisiana in the United States. It is one of several medical facilities established in the state during the early 20th century by the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady, a Roman Catholic religious order based in Calais, France .
The hospital gained its most distinctive modern feature in 1971 – a tall cylindrical tower with a Modernist design. The 16-story tower was designed with all private rooms, unique in 1971. In 1992, Quorum Health Group purchased it, renaming it Park Medical Center. The Ohio State University (OSU) acquired it for about $13 million in 1999.
It was founded in 1923 and is sponsored by the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady, North American Province. The university has an enrollment of approximately 1300 students.
