Madagascar is a 2005 animated comedy film and the first film in the series. Directed by Eric Darnell and Tom McGrath, the film tells the story of four Central Park Zoo animals: Alex the lion (Ben Stiller), Marty the zebra (), Melman the giraffe (David Schwimmer) and Gloria the hippo (Jada Pinkett Smith).
Thomas McGrath (born August 7, 1964) is an American voice actor, animator and filmmaker. He is known for the DreamWorks animated film Madagascar, which he co-wrote and directed with Eric Darnell while voicing the character of Skipper the Penguin.
When the penguins happen upon Max, he helps them with dog-locating techniques and later distracts Elmer while the penguins rescue Mort from a dumpster and again so they can manage an escape.
