Apparently the missile badge's operational designator and combat readiness metal came into existence after 1975. Having been a member of a Titan II missile combat crew (afsc 54150) during the early 70s, I don't recall any operational designator on the badge or combat readiness ribbons. My dd214 dated 01-02-75 reflects only a "Basic Missile Badge".
