Swissôtel The Stamford, formerly known as The Westin Stamford, is a hotel in Singapore managed by Accor. Designed by architect I.M. Pei , at a height of 226 metres (741 ft) it was the tallest hotel in the world when opened in 1986 and remains one of Southeast Asia's tallest hotels. [ 1 ]

Together with Swissotel The Stamford, Fairmont Singapore set up a 450 sq m rooftop aquaponics farm in 2019 where fish and plants are grown together in a closed system. The farm is expected to grow 30% of all vegetables required across the 2 hotels. [6]

The company purchased the Swissôtel chain in 2001, and it took over the then Westin Stamford and Westin Plaza (both in Singapore) as the contract expired at the end of the year. On January 1, 2002, the two hotels were renamed as Swissôtel The Stamford and Raffles The Plaza (now Fairmont Singapore) respectively, with a refurbished look.

He is the Chef-owner of Odette in Singapore and Louise in Hong Kong. in 2019, Odette was awarded the highest distinction of 3 Michelin stars by the Michelin guide. Royer was born in Cantal, Central France to fourth-generation farmers.
