Century Gothic is a digital sans-serif typeface in the geometric style, released by Monotype Imaging in 1990. [1] [2] It is a redrawn version of Monotype's own Twentieth Century, a copy of Bauer's Futura, to match the widths of ITC Avant Garde Gothic.
Tasse shows the influence of pen-written letters in contrast to the modular geometry of Futura. The face is unusual for a sans-serif in having a true italic rather than a sloped Roman. Lowercase italic a becomes single story, and the suggestion of calligraphic strokes are found in the italic characters e, h, K, k, m, n, and u.

Paul Friedrich August Renner (9 August 1878 – 25 April 1956) was a German typeface designer, author, and founder of the Master School for Germany's Printers in Munich. In 1927, he designed the Futura typeface, which became one of the most successful and most-used types of the 20th century.
