Here is what i did exactly - i downloaded MCD from Mod the Sims and extracted the zip file into my mods folder. I launched MCD and i selected the scan tab and hit the directory option the screenshot below is what showed. I cannot find a tutorial on the newer version anywhere.

Theres a few ways. Download sims 4 studio and search for it in the cc previews and then you can delete that file or search for the type off cc it is (hair, top, skin etc) and remove all those mods from your folder, check to see if its gone in your game, if so add some of those files back a few at a time and keep checking till uou can narrow it ...

Options. crinrict. Hero. @3Rosez I don't think there's anything newer. It was always a bit of a double sided sword as it really just detects conflicts between mods and not between mods and the game. I think the best method for a clean up is to move your mods folder to the deskop and then start re-adding what you really need.
