Labatt Brewing Company Limited (French: La Brasserie Labatt Limitée) is a Anheuser-Busch InBev-owned brewery headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Founded in 1847, Labatt is the largest brewer in Canada. [1] In 1995, it was purchased by Belgian brewer Interbrew. In 2004, Interbrew merged with Brazilian brewer AmBev to form InBev

When Eccles retired in 1854, Labatt acquired his interest and renamed the firm the "London Brewery". He was assisted by his sons Ephraim, Robert and John. [citation needed] In 1849, Labatt started a new venture along with several other London businessmen including Thomas Carline called the Proof Line Road Joint Stock Company. [2]
Arthur Sackville Labatt, OC (born May 11, 1934) [1] is a Canadian businessman and the great-grandson of John K. Labatt, founder of the Labatt brewery. From 2004 to 2008, he was the chancellor of the University of Western Ontario (UWO) in London , Ontario , Canada.
Its previous names include John Labatt Centre and Budweiser Gardens. Opened as the John Labatt Centre in 2002, it was named after John Labatt , founder of the Labatt brewery in London. The centre's name was changed to Budweiser Gardens (after Labatt's sister brand in AB InBev ) in Fall 2012.
Jarvis was born in Toronto, Ontario, the son of Margaret Biddulph (Scratcherd) and William Henry Reginald Jarvis, an investment banker and president of John Labatt Ltd. [2] [3] His maternal great-grandfather was businessman and brewer John Labatt, whose own father was Labatt founder John Kinder Labatt.
Oland Brewery, formerly S. Oland & Sons, is a brewing company in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada (established 1907), which also acquired Alexander Keith's Brewery (1928), and is now owned by Labatt Brewing Company (1971), itself a unit of InBev. Sidney Oland (gt. grandson of Sidney C. Oland) served as a senior executive of Labatt Brewing Company.
