Eastdale Mall is a regional enclosed shopping mall located in Montgomery, Alabama. It opened on August 3, 1977. [1] As of 2010, it was 964,717 square feet (89,625.1 m 2) in size. [2] The anchor stores are At Home, JCPenney, Dillard's, and 2 Belk stores. [3]
This store replaced one at Montgomery Mall. Book and media retailer Books-A-Million functions as junior anchor at 14,400 square feet (1,340 m 2), while defunct home furnishings retailer Linens 'n Things previously occupied a 27,984-square-foot (2,599.8 m 2) junior anchor pad in a different section of the lifestyle center now occupied by DSW Shoes.
A plan to expand the mall by 360,000 square feet (33,000 m 2) was approved by Montgomery County in September 2007.With the expansion, Westfield Montgomery has more than 1,500,000 square feet (140,000 m 2), the fourth-largest mall in the Washington area behind Tysons Corner Center, Westfield Wheaton, and Fair Oaks Mall.
