Tree stands or deer stands are open or enclosed platforms used by hunters. The platforms are secured to trees in order to elevate the hunter and give them a better vantage point. The cultivar is also called 'Eden Rose 85' as Meilland had already introduced a rose cultivar called 'Eden' in the 1950s. 'Eden' trained as climber. The large, old-rose type blooms are carmine-pink on the inside and cream or ivory on the outside, reaching an average diameter of 3" (10 cm). The large flowers are very full with 55 to 60 petals.
The stock parents of this rose variety are the red climber 'Altissimo' and the miniature red climber, 'Roller Coaster'. The cultivar was named an All-America Rose Selections in 1999. [ 2 ] The rose cultivar was used to develop three rose varieties: 'Navy Lady' (2003), 'Soaring Spirits' (2004) and 'Dick Clark' (2009).
