So after Windows 10 updated to version 1803 my screen resolution got stuck at 1024x768. Tried every single solution on the internet for 3 days straight now including installing different older/newer drivers, uninstalling drivers, changing things in regedit and every other "solution" on both fortums and Youtube.
Restart. Go to Start -> Settings -> Update & security, then Check for updates and install any available updates. Open Start > Settings > System > Display. Make sure recommended settings are selected for Scale and Layout and Screen resolution. Best, Andre.
HD is 720p which is 1280x720.And Full HD is 1080p which is 1920x1080. And the answer to the question is 1024x768 isnt HD.HD has an 16:9 aspect ratio while the resolution youre playing has a 4:3 one. 720p is half HD, as in it's not full HD, so I wasn't wrong. 1024x768 is called XGA (Extended Graphics Array).
1028 x 768 has a 4:3 ratio. Other common resolutions with the same persepective are: 1152 x 864 1280 x 960 (but see below)
Win11 by default only installs critical security updates, unless you made the mistake of selecting “Get latest updates” which includes drivers. See your laptop/PC makers support to update both bios and ALL drivers. There should be a shortcut to that makers update utility on your system. Then set Bios to defaults & Pwr to balanced.
Well yeah now I can pick 1920x1080 in the options, but the image comes out blurry, as if the monitor only is 1024x768. When I go see the system information for the monitor it also only lists itself as 1024x768. Thing is though I looked the product number up and confirmed that it is indeed 1920x1080.
