I'm running an iPhone X with iOS 14.4. I have had my Mail app configured to receive AOL mail and 3 other accounts for years. However, I just realized that my Mail app has not received any AOL mail for 4 days. I can still send AOL mail from iPhone but it won't download anything. The account definition looks correct.
Had the same issue. AOL mail was not updating. Was super frustrating. To fix: go into my iPhone settings>Mail>choose email account, then delete it. After deleting that aol email, I then select to “Add Account” to add the email account back. I had to login with password credentials as usual. But my email account was restored and email updated.

I’m using the built in iOS mail app and running iOS 16.3 on my iPhone 13Pro and my iPad Pro 2nd generation. Recently my AOL mail has stopped synching across devices. I’ve seen this problem reported before but no helpful answers on how to fix it.
So it looks like we’ll have to wait until Apple sorts it all out and issues one or more updates. FYI it looks like mail is working reasonably well on my iPad running iPad OS 18 but mail on my iPhone running iPhone OS 18 is a bit of a disaster. D*mn, I KNEW I should’ve waited at least until 18.1 came out lol!
