After 10 weeks at sea, Mayflower, with 102 passengers and a crew of about 30, reached what is today the United States, dropping anchor near the tip of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, on November 21 [O.S. November 11], 1620.

He came on the Mayflower with his wife and five servants, one of whom was Roger Wilder who died early, along with a 7-year boy in his care named Jasper More. (Jasper was one of the four More children on board and one of the earliest to die.)
