I agree, it would be nice to have a Resolve Translation Tool that would convert from Resolve 19 to Resolve 18 (or Resolve 18.5 to 18), but we don't have that. At least now with Resolve 19, you can see your past Resolve Projects in the Project Manager, but each individual project will only be updated to 19 if you actually open them up in 19.
For DaVinci Resolve 18.6 we have taken efforts to keep the project libraries compatible with DaVinci Resolve 18.1.4. While this allows you to access the project library with 18.1.4, individual projects created or opened in 18.6 will no longer be accessible in 18.1.4.
So - to save others struggling - here are the minimum hardware requirements for DaVinci Resolve 18.0.4 on Windows which I just got from the Readme. • Windows 10 Creators Update. • 16 GB of system memory. 32 GB when using Fusion.
Resolve 18.5/Windows 11 Audio does not play through the Windows default device - it always plays through the speakers in the monitor. Preferences/Audio I/O Output device set to "Use system settings" All other audio sources play audio via bluetooth connected headphones. DaVinci Resolve does not - plays audio through the monitor speakers only.

Re: DaVinci Resolve 18 studio deinterlace Wed Mar 29, 2023 6:55 am It's worth noting that, if you're using Clip Attributes to rotate clips for verticlal resolution timelines, de-interlacing won't work.
Davinci Resolve 18.1.12.006 will not open at all. Today when I was trying to export a Timeline for a youtube video on Davinci Resolve 18.1.1 (i believe), it kept crashing it did it twice and then when I tried to open the app it wouldn't even show it's typical splash screen.
I have not used DaVinci in a while so I went to create a new project. I opened it up and it informed me that a new upgrade was available. I upgraded to the latest version of 18 on the spot. My requirements are simple I just want to stitch together several clips from an action camera to make a full video. Nothing fancy. The clips are all .mp4.
