Bear Gulch Reservoir is a reservoir in the town of Woodside, California. It is the main storage for the Bear Gulch District of the California Water Service, holding up to 215 million US gallons (810,000 m 3) of water, and serving 55,501 people. [2] It is fed by water diverted by two dams on nearby Bear Creek.
It is approximately 7.0 miles (11.3 km) northwest of the community of June Lake, 1.2 miles (1.9 km) east of Yosemite National Park's eastern boundary, and 1.0 mile (1.6 km) east of Koip Peak, the nearest higher neighbor. The mountain is visible from the June Lake Loop, and from the nearby June Mountain ski area.
