Garden of the Gods (Arapaho: Ho3o’uu Niitko’usi’i) is a 1,341.3-acre (542.8 ha) public park located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States. [ 1 ] 862 acres (349 ha) of the park was designated a National Natural Landmark in 1971.
In 1953, the Florida Park Service gave 640 acres from Jonathan Dickinson State Park to the Boy Scouts. The largest park in El Paso County is the 1,680-acre (680 ha) Cheyenne Mountain State Park, which is located in the southern end of Colorado Springs.Its terrain varies from prairie grassland and scrub oak to Douglas fir and ponderosa pine on the peaks at the western side of the park.
