The Mountain Bike Trail is a 6.5-mile trail which circles Stump Pond and is located in the northeastern corner of the park. Some of the other shorter trails are: Clear Lake Trail (3 miles), Nature Trail (0.75 miles), High Lake Trail (1.5 miles), Riverview Trail (2.0 miles), and Brian Plawer Nature Trail (0.9 miles).
As of 2023, Villa Park is working on a Tri-Trail connector project which will connect the trail with both the Illinois Prairie Path and Great Western Trail. [4] The project was completed in 2024. [ 5 ]
The trail currently has two sections, the first is the north branch of the trail, which starts at Rockland Road in Lake Bluff and extends south to Lake Cook Road in Northbrook. The ski area sat dormant for much of the 1990s, before reopening in 2002. The area currently offers hiking and dog walking and expert level enduro style mountain bike trails, a rope tow for alpine skiing and tubing and has terrain lit for night operations. While the area once sported a 600-ft vertical drop, only 120-ft are currently lift-serviced.

The Bloomingdale Trail is a 2.7-mile (4.3 km) elevated rail trail linear park running east–west on the northwest side of Chicago.It is the longest greenway project of a former elevated rail line in the Western Hemisphere, and the second longest in the world, after the Promenade plantee linear park in Paris.
