In the game, players must survive being stranded on one of several maps filled with roaming dinosaurs , fictional fantasy monsters, and other prehistoric animals, natural hazards, and potentially hostile human players.
The game features different areas with unique scenery to explore. The player can gather and craft things. Eggs can be found in the park which players can use to raise their own dinosaurs.
